Adult Services
The Brown Bag Program
On the second Wednesday of every month residents work alongside staff from the Greater Boston Food Bank and volunteers from Boston College to put together bags of food that is distributed to over 200 families in the Commonwealth community. The food is provided by the Food Bank. To sign up for this tremendous program, stop by the CTA or call (617) 787-2727 x10.
Computer Learning Center
The Computer Learning Center at the CTA has ten internet ready workstations where members of the community can participate in technology classes, search the web for jobs, work on projects, etc. The Computer Learning Center is one of our greatest resources and provides a world of professional growth opportunities for our residents. Course offerings range from beginner to advanced levels and are free for all residents.
Even if you don’t know how to turn on a computer, we would love to have you. Just stop by the CTA or call Alex at (617) 787-2727 x11.
Adult Education
In addition to the technology training offered at the CTA, we also offer ESOL and GED preparation on site. It is our goal to provide high quality learning opportunities that are convenient for our residents.
Advocacy
The CTA provides advocacy services for tenants who need to resolve issues with the Housing Authority, schools, etc. It is a long standing tradition of the CTA to support members of the community in times of need.
In addition, the CTA provides a variety of community programs and events aimed at bringing residents together to get to know each other better in a relaxed, social atmosphere. Events include our annual Summer Fun Event, Holiday Dinners and our annual wreathe decorating party sponsored by the Corcoran Management Company.
